The Smoking Hearts

London’s preeminent champions of rock and roll awesomeosity, The Smoking Hearts, have returned with their brand new album Victory! Recorded with Dan Weller and Justin Hill (Sikth, Enter Shikari, Young Guns), at Fortress Studios, London, their second effort sees a reinvigorated band hellbent on bringing the party back to punk. Uniting infectious melodies, aggressive yet danceable riffing and plenty of good ol’ fashioned punk rock sing-a-longs, The Bronx and Cancer Bats may come to mind, but their unique blend of high-octane ear candy has the dexterity to resonate across the broad spectrum of punk, hardcore, and heavy metal.

Fresh off their appearance with Cancer Bats on their Pentagram tour in London, with slots confirmed at Boardmasters and Hevy Festivals on the calendar this summer, their live shows have become the stuff of legend, sharing the stage with the likes of Bring Me The Horizon, The Used, Gallows, Andrew WK, gaining them rave reviews in all the major press including NME, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Rock Sound and Big Cheese. It’s a balls-out action affair with the band showing very little regard for their personal safety: it’s not uncommon to find half the band playing in the crowd or on top of the speakers, with vocalist Ben Mills scaling the rafters, dancing on the bar or launching himself from great heights, their energy and gusto always drawing crowds into joining the mayhem.

With the killer combination of badass party jams and performances that outshine the competition, The Smoking Hearts have cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting young bands from the UK and the buzz is growing louder with every passing day. So tap the keg, crank the volume and let ‘er loose, you won’t want to be missing the festivities.
