Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and Jake Bugg have recently been leading the way for British acoustic folk influenced artists.  Each one has a unique take on what we see as ‘proper music’.  Well now you can add another to their ranks.  Hailing from the industrial North West town of Halifax, Dwayne Jones is ready to release his Miles and Hours EP.  With this three track EP, Dwayne will soon be at the forefront of the Brit Folk movement and the title track will surely be permeating from a radio near you soon.

From the strum along opening chords on the intro, to the foot tapping almost skiffle influenced drums on title track ‘Miles & Hours’ you are taken on a feel good musical ride that gives you back faith in a thing called a ‘song’.  Second track ‘No Wasting Time’ moves you to a rockier sound with its more electric sound.  Again, this is song writing of the finest quality.  ‘Dreams Screams & Lightning’ takes you to different place altogether.  Heartfelt vocals, piano and strings take you along an emotional journey that cannot be ignored.

This EP is very ‘now’ in that it is championing the very best of British acoustic based singer song writing but it is not just trying to cash in.  Dwayne has been honing his craft and perfecting his songs for many years.  This EP deserves your attention.
